The one who drinks lattes
Stuart Freeborn was the real-life Yoda. As lead make up effects artist and sculptor, he brought Ralph McQuarrie’s and George Lucas’ concepts to life with a touch of his own likeness for good measure. Check out this photo of Mr. Freeborn, who realized so many of the Star Wars creatures from the Original Trilogy that we magical to so many. Sadly, as reported last year, Freeborn passed away. Soon Yoda will be joining him in the Force as well, but not before a few more laughs, we hope!
A repeat reminder that LEANNE AND I WILL NOT BE EXHIBITING AT BALTIMORE COMIC CON this weekend. We have had several people contact us asking where our table will be and about commissions, but we never planned to do Baltimore Comic Con this year due to our commitment to Jedi-Con in Germany. We will be stopping by the show on Saturday to walk the floor and meet some friends, but this is the first time since 2007 that we will not actually have a table there. 🙂
