NuRsHk_CcXPZS52Hn-DrRpYjfMHZ-wsIvgO6H2sgdNMHere’s a great photo of Leanne and myself with our friends at the Jedipedia.net Star Wars community. Here we are posing with the Blue Milk Special Jedipedia poster we created, which was auctioned for charity to help Mission Orange. As I mentioned, Jedipedia.net have hosted and spread awareness of Blue Milk Special among German speakers worldwide and been generous hosts and friends for the last three years. Jedipedia.net is so much more than just a German language equivalent of Wookiepedia, it is a thriving community of Star Wars fans. Jedipedia.net have their own IRC channel for all you old school geeks to join. They also are very active in supporting projects like Mission Orange, the children’s charity project that appeared in (BMS here).

Where would we be without Michael Stipp? To date he is the only BMS translator to have caught up to us with over 700 strips! We spent sometime with Michael on the Tuesday after the show and were fortunate that he is such a great host and cook. Thanks to everyone in Germany for their hospitality and friendship. We are nearing the end of our extended visit, but before we leave, I’m going to tell you about Europe’s equivalent of Rancho Obi-Wan in little place called Monchengladbach, Germany. Check back on Friday to read about our unexpected adventure in a German Star Wars museum!

Garrick “Biggs Darklighter” Hagon and Nick Maley pose in front of our BMS banner for Jedipedia.net. 😀

In the meantime, here is a collection of photos from Jedi-Con to remember the event.

No convention would be complete without Wilrow Hood, the Bespin Ice Cream maker. Thanks to Dirk for posing and giving us the Ice Cream patch. I’d like to take a moment to say “hi” to Dirk and Diana. I hope you’re reading this! Sorry we didn’t get time to visit. These two cosplay hard. I didn’t know any movie authentic Emperor’s that are cosplayed by a woman until I met Diana. Dirk met us at NY Comic Con in 2010 and picked up a Splinter of the Mind’s Eye poster. It’s been a while, but it was great meeting you and Diana at Jedi-Con!

One of the first Sabine cosplays (from Rebels) and the best wig I’ve seen (hand colored!!!!). Thanks to German Garrison member, Mareike. 🙂

Leanne and myself with Kenny Baker. Blurry as Sith, but what can you do? I like to think of it as “dream like.”

Matt Busch and Lin Zy pose in front of our BMS / Jedipedia banner. We met both artists for the first time and immediately thought of them as friends. If you haven’t checked out their work then head over to http://www.mattbusch.com/starwars.htm

Vader takes full advantage of the fat pink straw. It shouldn’t, but it sounds gross. How about, Vader enjoys his latte?

You haven’t lived until you’ve hugged a wookiee… made of real goat hair for that authentic, smell him before you see him effect.
