We could really use your help, but first a note on the strip above.

Today’s strip plays with Chewie’s sudden blurting of useless information that could only benefit the sort of people who would not even be reading Shadows of the Empire in the first place. I noticed it in the Dark Horse comics adaptation. It actually occurs in a subsequent scene, but I, in my usual odd way, thought it would be funny if Chewie made a habit of stating the obvious. See the image on the right taken from the comic.

Okay, remember how we respect LucasFilm’s legal rights as owners of Star Wars by not selling collected works of Blue Milk Special etc? This is a choice we made and stand behind but, as a successful webcomic with a good amount of readers, we basically can make very little back on all that Leanne and I invest into the project. I know a lot of you want to support us but just don’t know how.

In the past, readers have helped us, either through donations, or by commissioning Leanne to draw sketch cards. But there are other, indirect ways that your pennies can help us. Leanne has recently debuted a sports pinup as a T-shirt and Print.

Now, we know that most of our readers won’t care about the Baltimore Orioles or Ravens, but we are hoping you can look beyond that and support Leanne by at least sharing the link with as many people as you possibly can.

If every one of you, at the very least, emails one friend, or shares the link on Twitter or Facebook, then it would go a very long way to possibly even making a small success out of Leanne’s work. And any success in our lives helps, especially with my worsening chronic nerve pain.

We know so many of you love to buy almost anything Star Wars related, and many of you probably don’t even realize how much material out there is infringing or outright illegal unlicensed work. Because we respect the license and laws, we hope you will respect that stance enough to go an extra mile for us.

Leanne was interviewed last week by Baltimore Magazine about her cute little “Your Turn” pinup. You can read the interview here. Please share the link to help us spread awareness of Leanne’s work.

Thank you so much to everyone that has helped spread the word so far! You are awesome people!
