Over the years we have tried disabling comments now and then, but this weekend was the final straw that broke the webcomic creator’s back. I won’t go into specifics, as there were several different comments which I did not allow to be published onto the blog.
We have permanently disabled the comment feature for all strips. It took a long time, at least an 90 minutes of manually editing every strip’s blog entry to disable the comments for them all. Gee, thanks WordPress for not including an easier way to make that sort of change.
Working within a fandom means that everybody has an interpretation that they can argue about. After a while it can stop feeling like a positive use of your time, even doing something creative like a webcomic because it only brings about discord. I hope that those who really want to drop us a line will still do so outside of this website through our email or social media.
