A reminder, Blue Milk Special has been, and always will be free. It will never be collected in print, we’re sad to say. It’s a matter of licensing, and I honestly think our work is too amateur, and possibly too adult at times, to ever get an approval for commercial sale. However, you can donate or purchase our T-shirt with our logo, or you can support us through Patreon.

sketchcard-porkinsWe thought we would share a couple of the sketchcards Leanne has illustrated for our supporters on Patreon. There are various levels of support for different reward packages, though you can give as little as $1 dollar a month to receive hi-res art panels from each strip.

Higher levels include sketchcards like the two that are pictured in today’s blog. It’s up to you what you ask for, but I thought the user requests for Porkins, as well as Han Solo dressed as Superman provide good examples of the sort of zany creativity that you can come up with. Thanks Matthew and Ricardo!

Patreon is a way to support me as a writer / artist and my various projects, which naturally has the spin off effect of helping keep Blue Milk Special sailing along. It is also a way to interact more privately with myself and discuss the strips before they are published. One of the perks of subscribing to my Patreon account includes seeing the upcoming strip a day or so early before it gets published here on the official website for Blue Milk Special. And we set a milestone support goal to bring back Boba Fett from the dead in the Return of the Jedi storyarc which was unlocked in late December 2014. So Boba fans, you owe our Patreon supporters a thank you for his impending return. 😉

sketchcard-han-supermanUnfortunately this doesn’t go without saying, since fly-by-night visitors to this website often miss the fact that we do not print and sell Blue Milk Special. It is free to read online. All support comes in the form of donations from readers who want to support what we do which, without their help, is entirely out of our own pocket. As fans, love for illustration, cartooning and science fiction is the driving force that is bringing us to our sixth anniversary in February… however, we would genuinely have pulled the plug after I lost my job if not for the massive support we received from readers through my GoFundMe campaign. I am considered Leanne’s child at the moment by a messed up Health Care system and have had to forego several doctor appointments and pain medication for my spine due to the costs. My health was the reason I lost my job in the first place. Patreon helps build on the ability for me to continue working on Blue Milk Special without a day job or regular paycheck.

If you want to join the Patreon bandwagon and support me then the Forciness be with you! If not, continue to enjoy BMS and our final year of our parody of the Original Trilogy. It doesn’t cost you anything.
