Today’s strip stars Star Trek’s Captain Kirk, Blake’s 7’s Jenna Stannis and Babylon 5’s Delenn. Jenna is my sci-fi girl. Leanne once drew a pinup of Jenna for one of my birthdays which you can find at this link here and here. She and Blake are kind of an item, but things aren’t exactly peachy.

And now for some BMS news!

Blue Milk Special Holland edition has arrived!

As I mentioned a month ago, Anton Van Dort has taken up the challenge of translating Blue Milk Special into Dutch. He’s already finished A New Hope! Wham! How’s that for making a splash on debut?

All of the strips are hosted at Anton’s official artist page and on his Google+. You should also check out his own incredible illustrations while you are over there and maybe even get yourself a super awesome commission!

Anton’s work translated Blue Milk Special is being published in the Belgium Star Wars fan club Teekay 421 fanzine. Anton interviewed us for the fanzine to coincide with the debut of the strips. I want to give a special thank you to Anton and TeeKay 421 for the interview and page space. Thanks for accepting Blue Milk into your lives! Here’s a glimpse…

579156_723770217652599_2073900417_nAnton is an artist with a mix of fantasy and sci-fi subject matter, including many beautiful pieces published by Teekay 421. He uses a mixture of mediums like watercolors, acrylics and digital paints to create surreal and romantic imagery. When Leanne and I saw his work we were blown away! I am envious of anyone who is able to work with traditional paints.

We met Anton at Jedi-Con 2014 and were amazed at the quality of his work, but most of all his enthusiasm and can-do attitude toward life. As I’ve stated previously, meeting all these great people is one of my favorite things about making Blue Milk Special. Having a shared hobby as popular as Star Wars has provided an excuse for like-minded, creative individuals to discover one another and become friends. Anton’s work and ethos is really inspiring. Check out his website if you get a moment and take a look. Send him a few kind words!
