Imperial Tea Party #2
Remember those jerks that we introduced a couple of weeks back, here? They make me think of sick old dentists in Ancient Chinese weirdo-wear. They are from left to right: Janus Greejatus, Blista Vanee and Sim Aloo. You wouldn’t want to meet them in a dark alley because they are just plain creepy… in that way that spiders can be creepy. It’s unlikely they are capable of harming you, but they just look disturbing and you don’t want them in your house. If you like spiders then be my guest and entertain these guys. But Vader doesn’t like them, as demonstrated plainly in this strip.
Something about the Emperor and his councilors made me think of a Mad Tea Party scene, so we ripped this one straight out of Alice in Wonderland without apology. If you like Alice in Wonderland this one will probably go over well with you. If you D.G.A.S. then I suggest you “move along” and wait till Wednesday when something MASSIVE will happen that will shake up the strip and our readers pretty bad. We’re not kidding.
The Imperial Advisors… the Emperor’s Inner Circle… These are the highest ranking Imperial officials and lackeys of the Emperor. According to the Expanded Universe they are Force Adepts, which in layman terms means they can use the Force for basic things (probably not shooting lightning out of their asses, however!). In BMS, Darth Vader does not like the Inner Circle. Basically, they are dicks and BMS will prove that over the next couple of days.

Somehow this arc made me think of the boston tea party… coffee guy being bullied by rich and snobbish tea-drinkers because he’s different? (in this case different being more than half machine, and you can’t live without a completely covering helmet for more than 5 minutes…) hmm, maybe in the next arc Vader will dress up as a rebel and dump the advisors tea-supply down an exhaust vent on a SD or down some really big and deep reactor hole in the Emperors castle or such? 😀
….or is this somehow a reference to the whole Tea Party/Coffee Party foolishness we’ve been seeing ping-ponging back and forth in the media?
If so, then yaaaay for Vader and his perma-latte!!
