–EDIT: Thanks to reader BobaFette for the idea for the revised punchline. 😉

Halloween is fast approaching and that means that costumes and candy are already invading the local stores. A couple of years ago I had a friend secretly knit Leanne a Doctor Who scarf, although time limitations meant it was only about ¼ the full length of the television version. This Halloween Leanne and I are thinking about a Star Wars theme. We don’t have the time to custom make a costume, and we don’t have the cash or time to make any authentic replicas that would pass the 501st Legion’s standards of accuracy. So, we’ve come up with an idea but need some help.

Peter, a friend of ours over at Buy Star Wars Costumes.com (shameless plug for a genuinely good site) reminded us of the Star Wars licensed costume range currently available. The problem, however, is that there are so many to choose from and I’m not really a clone sort of guy! I like to be a little more individualistic. It’s not easy picking when the range is so wide. Where do we begin?

Since we’re having trouble making up our minds perhaps some of our readers can recommend a costume from the list that you think would suit Leanne and myself. Too bad Biggs Darklighter is so unknown otherwise I would have snatched that costume up in an instant. 😉

In case anyone else is interested in a Star Wars themed Halloween and is not so fortunate to belong to the 501st, then these officially licensed costumes look like a great alternative. Created and owned by a fan, Buy Star Wars Costumes.com was launched 6 years ago and has introduced a new supreme/authentic costume to their inventory each year. They offer price matching and have very fast shipping at a low rate. They also offer live chat support.

As we get closer to Halloween if any readers want to send in photos of their Star Wars themed costumes, then we would love to share them. Email us at bluemilkspecial@gmail.com
