We have a new poll question. Which is your favorite non-Star Wars sci-fi? So, what I’m asking is, other than Star Wars (which we assume you already like quite a bit, or you would not be here) what sci-fi film / television or book is most important to you? We have had to lump all Doctor Who, all Star Trek, Battlestar and Stargate together or the poll itself will become unwieldy. If you need to be specific, just leave a comment. 🙂

Here are the results of the most recent poll… Perhaps I shouldn’t be surprised how seriously so many of you take these sorts of questions–even when Biggs Darklighter is a wildcard option! Turns out that most, of those that responded seriously, picked Anakin–although Luke, with his limited training, does come close. This probably owes a lot to the demographics of our readership being pro Original Trilogy, but I like to think that Luke was even more of a prodigy than his father. He did, after all, get very little training with Yoda and was practically an adult at the time rather than a little Youngling… ugh, I hate that whole thing. I like Zayne’s logic, personally…

“Well Yoda trained dooku, dooku trained qui-gon, qui-gon trained obi-wan, obi-wan trained anakin. Yoda trained Luke. Soooooo… After careful consideration–I’d have to say…BIGGS!” – Zayne Carsick.

Anyway, Biggs wins!

“Biggs because he’d arrive after the fight and therefore be the last one standing!” – Paul B.
