SOTE4-FCGuri gave both Leia AND Chewbacca a makeover, supplying costumes, new identities and in the wookiee’s case, a new hairstyle! Apparently Guri is a fan of Kid N Play, and why not? This was made in the 90s after all.

So why are they dressing up in disguises again? All of this is to ensure they can move freely on the Imperial home world of Coruscant to meet with the crime prince, Xizor. Leia is convinced that Xizor may have a lead for her about whoever is REALLY trying to assassinate Luke Skywalker. It could be woman’s intuition, or perhaps it’s the Force? Anyway, Chewbacca promised Han Solo that he would protect Leia, which means adopting a trendy 90s haircut to do so. Have they forgotten about Han? Boba Fett is on his way back to Tatooine to deliver the carbon frozen smuggler to Jabba. Luke was supposed to be dealing with that but ended up helping Ron Perlman and the Bothan underground on the otherside of the galaxy. Oh what a plot! Lucky I’m hear to summarize it all for our readers, because most of you have not read / played / listened to Shadows of the Empire. The WORST is just around the corner…

ReturnOfTheJediPoster1983Anyone in the Maryland / DC area interested in seeing a screening of Return of the Jedi at the AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center in Silver Spring? Now for a little news…

Leanne and Rod to publish new independent comic!

issue0-adOkay, small favor time from our readers. If you like what Leanne and I do, then maybe you’ll like our other work and take a moment to check it out. Recently, Leanne agreed to join me in resurrecting my independent comic Once Upon a Caper. Once Upon a Caper is a humorous and layered tale that REALLY plays and has fun with the super hero genre from what I feel is a refreshing perspective. Leanne is the cover artist, but future issues will be illustrated by Leanne! I have just released a new version of issue #0 with bonus character bios and pinups, along with revised script and lettering.

Unlike Blue Milk Special, you can actually purchase it in print and directly support us with your pennies and word of mouth. By liking Once Upon a Caper on Facebook and most importantly SHARING it or TWEETING about it, you are helping us to create awareness of the comic and build a readership that we hope will join us late in 2013 when we continue the adventures of not only Sovena, but the cast of capers that make up her universe.

Who would have thought that the Earth’s greatest super hero would be an eleven year old girl in a little red cape? Sovena protects a comic book universe from every imaginable threat, while trying to fit in with her adult peers. On her eleventh birthday, Russian born Sovena Lovstok mysteriously gained godlike super powers. Since that day, she has dedicated these amazing abilities to protecting the innocent and upholding justice. However, those powers came with one small catch…

I know a lot of you guys would like to purchase a collected volume of Blue Milk Special, but you know I want to keep the project on the right side of LucasFilm and can not publish for sale without a license. That means we can’t turn the BMS fan project into anything for profit. But you can still support us by giving us a chance to entertain you with our original characters and stories. It’s tough making indie comics, so all your support and help is MASSIVELY appreciate by both Leanne and myself. Thank you!
