Colonial Viper vs Rebel X-Wing
Ralph MacQuarrie’s designs and vision, combined with that of many other LucasFilm designers, helped give Battlestar Galactica (1978) a style that fit well with Star Wars. Though the X-Wing remains the pinnacle of space opera fighter designs, I wouldn’t mind adding a Colonial Viper to my star base hangar. That’s right, Leanne and I own a star base with a collection of fighter craft. Why do you think we’re selling so much stuff? The upkeep is killing us!
I used to think those Egyptian themed Viper pilot helmets were cool, but I think they’re a little too overt with the King Tut look for my liking. Anyway, good news for all those that are weary of the crossovers and cameos… on Friday we return to pure Star Wars for a while with Luke’s arrival in the Emperor’s throne room.
