Sheesh! What does a dad have to do to get disowned around here? Leia is a bit more realistic about things. Leia has every right to not want to forgive her father, or even acknowledge him as such. And by the way, Leia remembers her mother, so screw the retcons! 🙂

I don’t think enough of us stop to appreciate what artists add to our culture, our pass times and our visual and aural world. So many go unrecognized and live in poverty. Why don’t they just get real jobs? Well, consider that if all artists did that, then there would be very little art at all in the world. People have to take risks when they are creative. Creativity should never be discouraged. When was the last time a comedy made you laugh when you really needed it? Or what about when you needed to escape the real world and turned to a good book or put on your favorite music. Someone has to take risks, and if you believe that person does bring you happiness, then help support them by whatever means you can, because art enriches the world.
I’m very nearly at 50% of my goal to raise enough to cover my recent medical procedure, but things have slowed down… However, thanks to you, along with friends, and family I have some financial help and I am massively grateful!

I don’t follow Darth’s and Droids, so I’m not sure what you’re referencing.
The comic, like DM of the Rings is a tabletop RPG. Annie played the kid initially, but later played Padme. So now she plays Padme as the villain and her daughter Princess.
I’m guessing you are avoiding the comic while you are doing yours. (And they are just starting this act of RotJ). If you have the opportunity once you are done with BMS, I’d recommend checking it out, especially if you are a fan of RPGs.

Sorry, I forget sometimes people haven’t seen the same things I have. Imagine Star Wars (from Episode 1 to current) was a role-playing game played by a variety of cliches. You have the min-maxer, the burgeoning thespian, the crazy guy, the kid brother/sister.
If you are into the role-playing hobby, the author comments are great info and thoughts about how games are run (or overrun/sidetracked/best-laid-plans). I hesitate on saying more about the story in case people want to read it themselves, but they do turn a bit of the Star Wars tropes on its head. Think “Peace Moon” instead of “Death Star”.
Yes. Annie is the player, who began playing this kid they picked up a couple sessions in. Most of the players names are the basis for the characters we know. For example Ben plays Obi-Wan, and Luke is the name of the guy that joined them for the 4th campaign.
Thanks! It helps having a description of the characters. I could only assume, having only glanced at the webcomic a few years ago and having so many things going on at the time, not becoming a regular reader. I will definitely check it out.
