In case you blinked and missed it, we updated on Friday, Saturday and Sunday this week to tie in with our pals at Jedipedia.net who had a booth at Star Wars Celebration Europe. You can find those strips here: Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3. Also, today’s strip is the last for the month. We will skip posting on Wednesday and return on Friday instead.

soteTC051-Take That, Xizor! And now, we return to Shadows of the Empire. Smack bang in the middle of the Leia “seduction”. Here is part 1. Here’s a nice piece of work by the brothers Hildebrandt illustrating the scene. How it actually plays out is that Chewie interrupts Leia, having to be quite persistent to pull her away. He then tells her Xizor’s trick. When she goes back to Xizor, she tries to fight his pheromone control while Chewie starts their escape plan. However, just when Xizor is at his most perverted, Leia knees him right in the family jewels. Rather than proceeding to escape, Leia is instead sent back to a cell and continues to fulfill the role of damsel in distress for the second, if not the third time in the series. WHOOP WHOOP… Lame.

Celebration Europe II happened over the weekend. Aside from a few interesting, but not earthshaking Star Wars announcements, the main comment I have is how much I appreciate the boys and girls at Jedipedia.net who gave some space at their booth to hang four Blue Milk Special pinups. One of those pinups was specially made for Jedipedia at their request. I’ve already plastered it all over the last three updates for everyone to see. But it includes Kyle Katarn, Ahsoka Tano, and Mace Windu, characters that are new to the BMS style. It also includes Jedi Leia. You know she uses that thing for lighting her cigarettes more than she uses it for fighting, right?

I’m very tired. I had a very difficult weekend. I had some dark, bleak moments. But some light is shining again and I’d like to say that we have decided to get a dealer table at RetroCon. That should be a lot of fun, especially since we’ve never done a show in Pennsylvania before. Any Pennsylvania fans out there? If you live in Pennsylvania or thereabouts, then you can come and see us the following week after Baltimore Comic Con. Make the most of the trip by getting a couple of unique sketch requests from Leanne’s artistic talents.

RetroCon celebrates 1980s era toys, animation and games. Two big name guests are voice actor Neil Ross (Transformers, G.I. Joe, Visionaries, Inhumanoids, Rambo, Voltron, and more), and Larry Hama (the brilliant writer behind the original G.I.Joe comic-verse). There will be Star Wars goodies there as well, of course. And I may have some oddities for sail from my personal collection. There will be plenty of retro merchandise to browse and buy, along with cosplayers sporting these properties.
